This card will be digital identity of the student where he/she can digitally save, manage and access their academic credits including degrees, diplomas, certificates, educational records and co-curricular achievements for reference. 

ABC ID card is more than just a number; it is a comprehensive tool that will consolidate all your academic achievements in one place. This system is designed to make education more flexible and transparent, so students can track their progress and transfer credits between different higher education institutions. 

University Grants Commission (UGC) will play a key role in implementing ABC ID, so that the system is integrated across all institutions. ABC ID is linked to Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) initiative which will further simplify the process of managing academic records.   2. Locate the “My Account” Section: Look for the “My Account” tab or section on the homepage.
  3. Choose Your Registration Method: You will be presented with two primary options:
  4. Using DigiLocker: If you already have a DigiLocker account, this is the quickest method. Simply sign in with your DigiLocker credentials and link it to your ABC ID.
  5. UMANG App Registration: For those who don’t have DigiLocker, you can register through the UMANG App, a government of India initiative offering various citizen services. Download the UMANG App and follow the on-screen instructions to create your ABC account.
  6. Fill Out the Registration Form: Provide the required details, including your name, date of birth, and educational information.
  7. Verify Your Information: An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification. Enter the OTP to complete the registration process.
  8. Access Your ABC ID: Once registered, you can access your ABC ID and manage your account through the ABC portal or the UMANG App.
  9. Download ABC ID Card: To download your ABC ID card, go to the ‘Issued Documents’ section on the DigiLocker portal and click on the download icon next to the ABC ID column.

Along with other mandatory certificates and credentials, the admission counselor who is assigned to every applicant assists the candidates on the entire process of the ID creation and uploading the same in the admission portal. The admission team will be in touch with any candidate irrespective of the courses till the students receives the PAO letter ie: Provisional Admission Letter.

These are the steps to create ABC ID for Amrita University:-

  1.  Click on this https://www.digilocker.gov.in/  click on signup, and, enter all the details
  2.  The only criteria is Aadhar and your phone number should be linked
  3.  Click on search documents and type ABC ID in the box
  4. Click on it and add the Institution Type as University and Institution Name  as Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham Coimbatore
  5.  Submit and you will be able to download the ABC ID in PDF format
  6.  Identity type is New Admission and Identity Value  is your Application Number
  7. Submit these details accurately,  then your digilocker account is created.

To download important documents like ABC ID card, students can follow these simple steps: 

  1. Visit DigiLocker Portal: Go to DigiLocker website and log in using your username and password or your Aadhaar number and mobile number. 
  2. Search for Documents: Click on the ‘Search Documents’ option and select ‘Academic Bank of Credits’ from the list. 3. APAAR/ABC ID Card: Select the ‘APAAR/ABC ID Card’ option and fill in the details like institution name, admission year and identity type. 
  3. Fill the Form: Fill in the required information like name, gender, date of birth and registration number. 
  4. Consent and Submit: Check the consent box and click on ‘Get Document’. 
  5. Generate and Store: Your ABC ID will be generated and stored in the DigiLocker portal. 
  6. Download ABC ID Card: Go to ‘Issued Documents’ section and select ‘Academic Bank of Credit ID’. Click on the download icon next to the ABC ID column to download the PDF. 

By following these steps, students can download their ABC ID card and access their academic credits.
