Amrita Online Announces 2026 Women’s Day Scholarship to Expand Digital Higher Education Access

Amrita Online, the online educational division of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has officially declared the opening of its 2026 International Women's Day scholarship program. As part of its continuing efforts to reduce the gender disparity in higher education in India, the university is waiving a 20 percent tuition fee on first-semester fees on all female applicants registering in its University Grants Commission (UGC)-entitled online degree courses (MBA, MCA, M.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Com).
The current year's campaign is based on the historic reputation of the institution based on academic excellence and social impact. The first-semester costs are aimed at reducing the barrier and increasing accessibility for women who would want to enhance their professional credentials by undertaking flexible and high-quality education. As Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has always been in the list of the top 10 universities in India, ranked 8th according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), these online programs are no exception, as they are as rigorous as its traditional on-campus programs.
Applications to the scholarship window are open, and the last day of submitting them is March 20, 2026. Another advantage of the 100% online format is that it is specifically designed to cater to the needs of the modern learner, which means that students can undertake degree programs without taking away a lot of their professional and personal time.
This flexibility has formed the basis of the university's strategy of achieving a diverse population of women who cross borders in the country, both at the early stages of their careers and those who have returned to the workforce.
The curriculum of Amrita Online has been made under the active partnership between world faculty and industry leaders with great emphasis on applicable and market-oriented skills. This practice is consistent with the university's overall philosophy, "Education for Life and Education for Living," which emphasizes personal development in addition to technical expertise.
The future students are advised to apply and enroll in the university via its official portal- Amrita Online. Amrita Online continues to be at the forefront of bringing about sweeping changes in the digital transformation of Indian higher education through its inclusive and empowered learning culture.
