Amrita AHEAD
Priye Rana, MCA Cybersecurity
My name is Priye Rana, and I'm really happy that I have now graduated with the silver medal from the seventh-best university in India, which is Amrita Online. So I joined Amrita in 2021. I had applied in 2020 after COVID and everything, and what I wanted to do was do something good with my life, like I've done law before this, and I'm not from a technical background at all. I did a BSc before this and law, so completely different branches, but from the start, I wanted to do something in hacking or in computers; basically, that is where my passion lies. So after COVID hit, I decided enough was enough, and I enrolled in this online program. When I joined this, I did not know if I'd be any good in this program, but once I joined, everybody was so warm and welcoming, and the teachers were so good. They were trying to teach from a very basic level, so I got to learn everything from the start, and every coding language, like I now know Python or SQL, or any other language, and because of that. So this course is so beautifully built that you can learn from scratch even if you're not from a tech background like me, and the
The only key thing is to have consistency. I did a little bit of everything every day, like I would give 1 hour or two hours a day. That was enough, and I was able to score well. I got a silver medal, but I should have gotten gold. Sadly, I messed up in my first exam because I was not well-prepared at that time. My system was not well configured, so I took it for granted, but then again, that shows you how serious this program is. It's not a cakewalk; you're going to have to put in hours, you're going to have to put in effort, and once you do, it is going to pay off, but if you take it lightly, it is going to rub you down as well. In terms of career, I learned a lot of things, which I'm using in my career, like not directly, but every little subject that every paper that we did. Some of it is contributing to my career growth, and right now, I'm working in information security, and I owe that to Amrita.
