Instructions
Registration
- Students who have not yet enrolled for Convocation are encouraged to do so by 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 6.
Event & Decorum
- The formal Convocation function will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Convocation Hall (Annapoorneshwari) with an Academic Procession. Graduands are required to arrive at the ‘Convocation Hall’ by 9:30 AM.
- In order to maintain the solemnity of the function, graduands shall not be allowed to leave the ‘Convocation Hall’ during the entire forma function.
- This being a formal and solemn occasion, absolute silence shall be observed in the ‘Convocation Hall’.
- The Convocation proceedings are expected to conclude by approximately 8:00 p.m. However, the completion time at individual certificate distribution venues may vary slightly depending on the number of graduands and the progress of the respective sessions.
- Owing to the large number of graduands participating in Convocation 2026, entry for parents and accompanying family members/guests to the Main Convocation Hall (Annapoorneshwari Hall) will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the seating capacity of the venue. To facilitate the participation of all visitors, live telecast/overflow viewing arrangements will be available at Amriteshwari Hall and Aacharya Hall (Additional Venue will be added) enabling parents and guests to witness the Convocation Ceremony comfortably.
Lunch
- Parents and graduates will be provided with lunch on campus.
- Lunch will be served to all graduands and their accompanying parents after the conclusion of the program.

Cloak Room Facility for Graduands
As part of the Convocation 2026 arrangements, a Cloak Room Facility has been arranged for the convenience of graduating students.
Venue: FAB Lab (Room N#001, Ground Floor)
Date: 08 August 2026 (Saturday)
Timings: 07:30 a.m. – 05:30 p.m.
Important Note:
- The cloak room is intended only for the temporary storage of bags and personal belongings.
- Valuable items such as cash, jewellery/ornaments, laptops, electronic gadgets, important documents, and other valuables should not be deposited in the cloak room.
- Students are requested to collect their belongings before the facility closes

Stay / Accommodation
In the campus hostels, there is a limited amount of shared accommodation available for graduates.
Accommodation for Graduands
Graduands are welcome to access the hostel premises during the convocation. Kindly note that hostel rooms are limited, and we regret that allotment may not be possible for every graduand. Wherever feasible, graduands may coordinate with friends or current students on campus to use hostel facilities to freshen up or for a short stay.
Accommodation for Accompanying parents
We warmly welcome all parents and family members accompanying our graduands to Convocation 2026.
Kindly note that the University will not be providing accommodation for accompanying parents during the Convocation programme. Parents are therefore requested to make their own accommodation arrangements in advance.
However, a limited number of rooms with basic facilities may be available at Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amritapuri, located adjacent to the campus. These rooms cannot be reserved in advance and will be allottedon a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
Parents wishing to avail themselves of Ashram accommodation may report directly to the Convocation Accommodation Office located near the AmritaSree Building upon arrival. Further details regarding the accommodation process will be shared in due course.
Nearby Hotel Options: Parents preferring a hotel stay can explore accommodation in the nearby areas. Advance booking is recommended to ensure availability during the induction days.
