About The Amrita Online Future Skills Conclave
The Amrita Online Future Skills Conclave (AOFSC) in association with Amrita TBI is designed to help professionals gain clear insights into the skills that are becoming essential across industries. As workplaces evolve rapidly due to technological advancements, shifting economic realities, and changing social expectations, professionals need strong awareness of both technical competencies and human-centric capabilities. The conclave brings together experienced industry leaders and academic experts to help professionals understand what the future workforce expects from young professionals and how they can prepare effectively.
In addition to corporate and professional career pathways, the conclave also highlights entrepreneurship and innovation as viable career options, supported through Amrita Technology Business Incubator (Amrita TBI)—a nationally recognized startup incubator. Multiple funding opportunities through the various MeitY Startup Hub programs will be explored.
The conclave features panel discussions with industry and academic experts, experience-sharing sessions from professionals who have successfully navigated evolving career landscapes, and interactive Q&A segments that provide personalized clarity. It also includes closed-door sessions with the Knowledge Committee, comprising members from all departments of Amrita Online, focused on curriculum enrichment and alignment with emerging skill demands.
Bridging The Skill Gap : Why Future Skills Matter
The importance of addressing the skill gap comes from the growing difference between what professionals learn academically and what industries expect in real work environments. As job roles evolve quickly, professionals may feel unprepared if they don’t have the practical, digital, or interpersonal skills that employers look for. Recognising this early helps professionals focus their efforts, build the right capabilities, and approach placements with more confidence.
This conclave aims to make these gaps visible and understandable. Amrita TBI is a non-profit startup incubator supported by the Govt. of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham that funds, mentors and nurtures ideas, startups and entrepreneurs. Virtual incubatees can operate from anywhere in India. Amrita TBI runs a scaled incubator program that incubates and accelerates startups that are in idea stages and growth stages. Amrita TBI also runs multiple programs such as Accelerator, PRAYAS for hardware startups, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the objective of helping startups scale nationally and internationally.
